"Antique Rosenthal Dish/Bowl With Lid"
I am offering an antique. Qualifier for antique being over 100 years old. This is a Rosenthal trinket/candy dish or sugar bowl with lid. This was part of a relative's estate. I don't know what the original usage was. The dish is marked R.C. with X and Crown plus Moliere Bavaria Charlotte 9. This mark stood for Philip Rosenthal & Co. which was used from 1891-1906. The dish measures approximately 2 3/4 inches in height with lid and 4 inches in width at widest points. I believe the floral design is Moss Roses and the dish has a lot of gold trim. There was a label on the inside of the dish that stated that the dish in fact was over 100 years old. I have removed that label. I am assuming the piece was hand painted. I cannot stress enough about the condition of this piece. It is excellent! No chips, cracks or crazing. There might be a flea bite of missing gold paint on lid and that's it. My pictures don't do this dish justice. Awesome condition for its age! It was well taken care of. Beautiful piece!
